To me and my beliefs, the US always makes things more difficult to an outsider than what they would for a company that resides in the US, if they had their way they would steal the IP if they could? they have done so to many Aussie companies before! but having said that, they will have to follow the bouncing ball, especially if the rest of the world is taking notice of what this little Aussie battler is doing!
