I think a lot of people are unaware of the amount drugs being tested to treat covid-19 and how many have shown positive results in human trials already. MPL is starting a long long way back and I don't see it being able to make up the gap.
Itolizumab has been approved in India and shown in a randomised trial to reduce deaths. This is already an approved drug for human use.
Opaganib is already in late stage trials in Israel and the US with positive results from phase one trials.
Fenofibrate (Tricor) has shown in lung tissue to eliminate the virus in 5 days and now proceeding to human trials. Also already an approved drug for human use.
They're the only ones I can remember amongst a bunch of other drugs that are already well ahead of MPL in testing. Don't even think it should be valued in the market cap until human trials start.
