Re a vaccine. Vaccines have their place but T-Cell memory seems to be more important that retaining antibodies here. I've never had a flu vaccine (which generates a partial response) and much prefer to get a dose of flu and have a full antibody and T-Cell response. Viruses have many common protein sequences. The body learns that they are foreign and responds quickly from the second encounter ... mostly regardless of which virus they're in.I've a personal suspicion that older people who've had the flu vaccine for decades are putting themselves at a greater risk of a slower SarsCov2 activation of their immune system.
