And for the naysayers, notice how Jack1960 adds to his position when pricing pushes down to extreme levels, and then lightens off a bit as the price rises.
Jack1960 is effectively:
*grabbing tax losses whilst not loosing his overall share holding position.
*Effectively reducing the average cost of his position, without being a whale and just constantly buying. ie the actual capital deployed does not permanently increase, but the average price decreases. A very skillful move.
