Refer to Jack's post above. It sums up part of my hedging strategy. The hedging is not around buying fundmanagers with different thematic investing styles. The hedging is by owning shares in companies who's business models have different different thematics to the investment style of Magellan. This is working out very nicely for me. And is the underlying reason why my returns in CY2022 are way out performing the markets (decent positive returns against a macro negative return YTD).
Only Aus fund manager I am focusing on is arbitrage on PPT and PDL.
