been in many a share where the BS was cashed up, as soon as "special divs" came along and they bled the $$ balance sheet to pay the short term "sugar hits" to artificially prop the SP....fast fwd a few years, sp halved from those highs with the BS depleted....!
how did barra do this year?? how did the business really perform ex-FX?? all smokescreens hidden by a simple cash handout.....look at the numbers - diabolical - ask yourself where this would be without this token cash handout (they can only do one more at most, ex BB)....! amazing how little it takes to bedazzle the ma$$es these days....cant believe how simple and effective it was....
the heart of this business is fund performance which is abysmal - no one cares about "since inception (you cant live off the past - any index has gone up from its historical base - thats money creation and the wonder of inflation!):
how do u sell that to clients??? Index funds have done way better at a fraction of the cost - why dont they show this net of fees??...theyre bragging about a statistically insignificant quarter of "outperformance" of 0.88% when YTD is still significantly under! what a joke!!!
