    It appears that Ivy and its tax lawyers disagree. It is worth recalling that at the time the capital distribution was announced by CCA (January), CCA was still a member of IvyKoin LLC. This means that CCA had a say in this arrangement. It would therefore have been appropriate for CCA to have declared what the payment represented.
