I guess in reality all they ever did with myc was take published research on omomyc and initially use that with their own cpp tech. They then thought they could tweak the recipie of omomyc enough (or change it completely i dont know) and call it imyc with i assume all rights to commercialise.
For some reason that i still am not sure about (i hear the official "pivot" reason but not sure) that gets halted.
That in itself is not a bad thing as i really think the end game with cancer will be variants of the new immuno type treatments. Especially the version hilited recently by tony and others where tumor is injected and the immune system then goes on to seek out further metastases if that is the correct word. That right there with no personalised engineering of immune cells is bloody brilliant imo.
The only problem with that and other cancer "vaccines" is to me it seems these companies are quite capable of getting their drugs where they want without our help, otherwise they wouldnt have got as far as they have. The only one screaming out for tech like ours was omomyc but obviously ms Soucek has gone on to do her own thing there without our help a s no collabirastion developed and now imyc stopped.
I do believe the platform may be the best way to monetise the technogy it is just hard to imagine a drug developer who is desperately looking for a drug "uber driver" like ours just to get it into cells. I assume peptidream are different in that they are trying to use active peptides rasther tthan drasg in otherr compounds??
