It seems all was going ok until they decided to throw $60m into SME
I'm sure there is going to be an acquisition on the way, I don't see how they can keep up the divi payment on chicken scratching earnings and holding $800m or thereabouts in excess capital is making them lazy hence the scramble for SME. Should have looked into it 2 years ago, not one.
what GS has to say on Judo - JDO has a large exposure to SME lending, which has a relatively more positive growth outlook. Strong volume growth, improving NIMs, and strengthening balance sheet are also attractive.
If anything should be sold its the chinese biz, but good luck on that, may be a 5 year process. The chinese are likely robbing them blind on earnings.
