@eshmun, like him or not, has ever been a voice of reason, whereby he questions the hype, the BS, the statements of people that are unfounded.

It was some of his and actually @binwood 's statements which got me to question a gold miner located in Brazil. I wont mention which company, just that it starts with B and ends with eadell Resources. I was heavily invested and reduced my positions at profit. In the end got out with some nice profit, not brilliant profit.

I dont believe that a poster merely stating there are some discrepancies in a report or that there is some information which is questionable means that they are "paid by shorters".
That is a ridiculous statement. Some of the best posters on HC have no positions at all in the equities they are discussing.
