It's a problem for the killer application as well as us; the've got more at stake than us also; I guess Lumileds are happy with a non exclusive  but also want to produce the cascaded LEDs themselves (OK by us - BLG's not into manufacturing) and will await the goods on retrofit of Aixtron equipment and the get BLG to supply them with a (or several) modified reactor(s) in the Netherlands which they can then experiment with before going into pilot production.  In the meantime BLG hopefully can get revenue from Lumileds (though Epiblu) in producing samples, then retrofit a (or several) Lumileds owner Aixtron reactor(s) and finally royalties should flow (on a non-exclusive basis) from use of RPCVD on these modified reactors.  In the meantime BLG can chase up other companies who want to use RPCVD for things like "p side down" applications, improved LED efficiency (using RPCVD) due to mitigation of Indium migration, Tunnel junction to replace ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) and multijunction high efficiency solar cells using tunnel junctions and thus RPCVD; plenty to go at.  IMO an exclusive use agreement with Lumileds would cramp our style and limit prospect long term.
