Nether, misses and I are holding all our o&g stocks for atleast a year.

For HZN I am planning to spend any disposable money on accumulating cheap shares. I'll probably sell them every year or so to claim a CGT discount and re buy them. I am planning just to build a large portfolio for long term growth.

For other O&G's (e.g. Santos), we went too greedy. We took a nice profit than bought some more and got dumped. Lesson learnt. Our profit reduced our losses but we've figured we will wait until the market is more stable to recoup losses as it's down a fair chunk and really couldn't get too much worse touch wood.

I honestly think once O&G dooms day articles are over, Iran's emergency OPEC meeting and China news calms down the market will be fine - horrible for the short term but provides good long term investments
