I'm just postulating - there could be several reasons - judging by the vastness of shares on sale it is likely a fund who has to sell once there is no dividend as per their rules (which is most likely the case)
The selling pattern is hitting bids the moment they appear - the seller just wants out (doesn't care for any acquisition offer or the value of the company which is now stupidly low)
