1. My wife is a nurse at Ramsey Health in eastern Suburbs of Melbourne
2. Supply Supervisor is my job in Private Hospital(s) we have 4 hospitals in our Melbourne Private Division and i can tell you the numbers have dropped alarmingly to the point we have closed a whole floor down for 10 days
3. We have at 1 campus been taking on a public list to clear numbers in the sector
4. At one of the campuses i attend i do the Theatre custom pack pick for so i see the exact numbers going through theatres the avg at that Hospital used to be mid 40 cases a day it has now dropped to mid 20s and is considered busy if we hit 30+ cases in a day
5. At my wifes work they are short shifting nurses when the cases are all done and sending them home early using their A/L if they want to be paid up to their normal hours
Infact we were only talking yesterday out on our loading dock to the CSSD manager and my manager about how things have slowed right down
