Well said Nick_btw1. The most non-independent board in corporate history is a little company run by Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger called Berkshire Hathaway. In spite of being one of the largest US corporations, and certainly most conservative and profitable over the past 60 years, it is not included in any of the US indices.
