If this chart didn't say 'Silver/Australian dollar' I'd swear it was the BML chart. Maybe it didn't have the same height of peaks and troughs since the big one, but the longer term correlation still looks pretty intact, even the recent fake break to the downside.

I'd prefer people didn't trade it as a silver proxy (but only if silvers going down I guess), but I reckon a lot of the traders that prop up speccy miners as a proxy for the underlying commodity would have burnt their fingers pretty bad, so all the correlations that happened in the meme-frenzy might not happen again. A lot of these new traders looking for immediate payoffs may have learned a thing or two, or left altogether...

Fundamentals will outshine sparkle eventually, maybe the others have already had their best days. Looks better than most in this sector.
