Haven't been following DML closely for ages, but I could never understand how their mining costs could apparently be so low, given that the mineralization is generally long, relatively narrow and of moderate grade. A look at the cross section made me think they would have to move an awful amount of dirt for every tonne of ore extracted.
Not sure if this has ultimately contributed to their current woes, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me. The ore is definitely there, but at what cost to extract it?
