yeah sure, ok you got me there. Couple of points though.
1. CXO (the reason we are here) doesn't pay any dividends. I hope it does in the future, but it doesnt now and nobody knows when or if it will.
2. Plenty of stocks pay dividends while their share price goes down. It's not hard to buy a div-producing stock and end up with a net loss.
3. Companies fail. Companies go broke. People lose everything. Tell the people who invested in Babcock and Brown about how they'll make money as long as they never sell.
