The closest we have to work with is that Wodgina was placed on C&M in Nov 2019.
MinRes/Albemarle announced they were restarting Wodgina on 25 October 2021. The restart was managed by Mr Brown and a team reporting to him. An April 2022 articles noted expected May 2022 production. Wodgina produced 20kt in the June 2022 quarter and 64kt in the September 2022 quarter. Mr Brown will have learnt lessons from that restart that that should enable a faster process (if that's optimal). I suspect that the Wodgina restart didn't have the benefit of a partial management team and C&M being on a restart ready basis. There was also the complication of multiple train's.
Mr Brown has clearly learnt lessons from this around having key personnel in place prior to the restart decision as that potentially saves 1-2 months. He also knows the benefit of keeping the plant restart ready rather than needing to go through a full recommissioning exercise.
