Professor Peter Friedland, who is an ENT specialist/surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, and Firebrick's Chief Medical Officer, recently presented at the Australian Military Medical Association conference (12 - 15 October 2023) in Perth. The title of his presentation was “Nasal Disinfection as a Front-line Defense in Future Pandemics”.

The presentation focused on the strong rationale for nasal disinfection with povidone-iodine to reduce the transmission of viruses, and highlighted the safety and efficacy data in support of Nasodine for this purpose. There was considerable interest from the military medical professionals in the potential for Nasodine not only for pandemic defense, but routine nasal disinfection to manage a range of conditions.
