re: Ann: Firestone Negotiating Significant Ag... They estimate that the national coal stockpile should have 40 days capacity to cover strikes, forces majeur etc.

Currently it stands at around 32 days so they need to buy in an additional 5 million tons to bring that up to the requirements.

if their regular suppliers maintain their contracted supplies over the next year then the stockpiles should stay at 40 days, once they are at that level.

sods law says this wont happen and that additional coal will be required but this is bought on an ad hoc basis and not as per a regular term contract.
