if you look at TAW, their initial maiden resource estimate of 12.8MT at 1.18% Li20 took 728 drill holes for 63,540m of drilling. Of that drilling, these were the stand out holes in terms of width with good grade:

The other 699 holes were either very small widths with grade or small widths that weren’t any good.

None of the above holes are super impressive, but the reason why TAW was able to get a maiden resource of 12.8MT from such average widths is because the pegs are stacked.

TOR’s pegs are stacked too. And MD says the reason why he has authorised an extra 4,000m of drilling is because he says new dawn is behaving exactly like bald hill.



Now, In TOR’s first 4 holes we have:

Hole 1: 3.06m @ 0.53% Li20 (drilled 90m depth)
Hole 2: 17m @ 0.10% (my guesstimation) ( drilled 45m depth)
Hole 3: 3.57m @ 1.25% (drilled 48m depth)
Hole 4: 32m @ 0.15% (my guesstimation) (drilled to 58m depth)

There’s no sugar coating this: these first 4 holes suck. If holes 2 and 4 had some grade then maybe we could have been on to something.. Only a small area drilled, fingers crossed width and grade is found elsewhere.

But as MD says (though after todays results I don’t think I can put much into what MD says at the moment) the quality of the core is improving dramatically at depth. With that said, holes 5,6,7 were all drilled over 250m depth, where:

* hole 5 has intersected 16m of peg at depth across 3 intervals
* hole 6 has intersected 9m of peg at depth across 3 intervals
* hole 7 has intersected 25m of peg at depth across 5 intervals.
* plus each of the above 3 holes has intersected 7m - 10m of peg at shallow depths.

So will be interesting to see the grade of these deeper holes.

But at the end of the day, we need to see some grade, we need the pegs to be across a decent strike length and ideally widen at some point too.

MD says he thinks new dawn is an extremely good project, it will be another bald hill, and says he thinks shareholders will be rewarded. Time will tell… 0/1 so far
