Hey mate, I took a position in SER after it settled down around 1.5c to 1.8c because the Achilles geology, geochemistry, geophysics and the two historic holes were very compelling IMHO. AGC looked to have cracked the code and this target only about 7km away was the next analog target being drilled.
Some pre assay announcement information started putting me off and I clearly posted these points. I mulled over the decision over a period of time and I crystallised a modest 10% gain and exited prior to assays. The next time I posted on SER after I sold I changed my disclosure. To expect every anonymous poster on HC to post every unverified buy and sell decision would be utterly ridiculous and potentially unmitigated craziness! None of it can be validated anyway and I never provide investment advice nor should anyone make investment decisions based on HC posters’ content or disclosures.
For me it’s a constant daily assessment of risk and opportunity cost. I also want to protect my capital. If I was lucky enough to have bought nearer 1c or even below I may not have sold but I felt the price was being inflated by potential Achilles success and punters (me included). When I decided it was too risky to continue holding into results based on my entry price, I sold. It’s somewhat personal preference too. I’m not judging others for not selling. Everyone has unique circumstances.
Other than Achilles, the external JV validation is very encouraging IMHO and I also personally very much like Isa North.
It’s also a personal relative risk reward assessment between different stocks. I’m constantly generating new ideas and revisiting old favourites based on announcements. I have limited play money like you all do and while I can see SER’s ongoing appeal, I personally think I have found a better risk reward position elsewhere. Others will disagree and that’s fine, it’s called liquidity! GLTAH.
