As to your question about why punters bailed. I can only offer my own opinion that others may disagree with. The peak Pb anomaly is across the southern transverse from descriptions in SER announcements. We have results for two of the three transverses (apart from hole 22) and one hole of results from the northern transverse (hole 15). Therefore we have results covering the southern Pb in soil peak. With over 1km north-south, thats quite good drill coverage of a potential mineralised zone expected to be parallel to the fault aligned approximately north-south. Therefore, based on the relatively low grades and widths plus barren consecutive holes (NSI), those who exited have possibly taken a view the remaining holes will be more of the same. Is their view the existing results don’t reduce the risk of an economic discovery, they increase the risk it’s uneconomical?

The decision making may be less sophisticated. Is AGC’s crazy RC hole 30 a possible irrational benchmark punters are using as a yardstick. The perceived lack of a “jackpot” hit and very underwhelming results to date possibly led to people bailing out? For others the decline itself may have been used to determine if the results were good or bad. I often find myself recalling the chorus to “The Gambler”.

IMHO it looks like it was a crowded ACG hole 30 2.0 trade as you have suggested (and I was wary of with my entry price) and punters have closed out the bet at half time with opposition momentum going against them and expectations of a repeat in the second half.
