At first sight, it's just another 1st patient dosed, yeah big deal, who cares.
At second sight, it is actually a big deal as CAR-Ts can only hardly applied in AUS atm. Hopper in fact seems to become a CAR-T pioneer in AUS as his 2 CEOs, IMU and CHM, have "lobbied" to get their CAR-Ts trial going. CHM is currently building a CAR-T cell producing facility within Peter Mac and IMU is treating patients in Sydney. The problem for 2 CHM CAR-Ts, GBM and CDH17, is that there are hardly staff and facilities to apply them.
And that again is driving the big question? How in the world can't Hopper attract funding from AUS-superfunds or EFTs or even the government when his comps are clearly in the driver seat especially when the cell tech behind CHM and IMU has already shown remarkable results.
Normally both comps should be inundated with $$$$$ and the CHM CEO is working 24/7 in that regards and yet, Hopper chose another CR-shark. There are limitless $$$$$ out there, IMU / CHM need a capable leader to pick it up.
Since 2021, Science is progressing fast and well but the $$$$$ are not following. Other comps have no problems to attract them, why not Hopper?
