At the AGM in Sydney in 2023 Nigel explained that the company won;t release the number of devices sold because, with current low numbers of devices, potential new customers can derive the price offered to others. Prices to the customers can obviously vary based on incentives etc. When they get more substantial numbers they will release them (like SIrtex used to although even they stopped reporting quarterly numbers sold).
ATM the price paid by patients themselves will vary.
I suspect where the hospital (or charitable fund) have a bulk contract (e.g some Spanish hospitals) the unit cost is less and the patient pays nothing.
There may be some places where the patient pays the whole cost, but not many I think.
Remember in the RCT it's free to the patient.
The more institutions doing their 1st implant the better. Shows they can do it, and that there will be word of mouth spreading.
