Terase thanks for your reply it’s great to see other companies kicking goals in environmental control.
Firstly I hope you don’t think I am in any way detracting from the announcement or the company as this is not the case at any length and the more I look into this company the more I like. My issue I have for myself and why I say hold and not buy is only the entry price level, as it has run so hard, and been caught out to many times using my emotion and not my head.
Secondly, I won’t provide any more detail on the below so please don’t ask. During my time, as a consultant I trialled products that were fully funded by these companies, for some of the largest/most renowned hydroponic suppliers globally, in fully controlled environments to determine which of the company’s products achieved the best results in perfect conditions.
All three companies sell to USA, Canada, UK and Australia plus some of Asia and are leaders, pioneers and supporters of the industry.
These rooms had full climate control for temperature with refrigerated air conditioning, aerial fogging for humidity also obviously controlled thermostatically, Co2 injection/and monitoring, dositron monitoring of Conductivety and PH also monitoring run to waste catchment, root zone temperature control/monitoring, light meters utilised ensuring lumen/energy count equal across all trial areas.
Exact plant spacing’s, drip emitters providing 50 ml per minute or the same as utilised in the photos by MMj’s partner ensuring maximum/equal oxygen provided running at a 25% run to waste system, with exact quantities and mixes of growing media , plants per sqm etc, the list goes on. sheet even air movement in the rooms were equal to ensure a balanced air flow was achieved throughout each of the separate canopies.
Then plant material plus the run to waste water catchment and the data/results that were maintained daily and was collected and sent for independent analysis, which was not part of my role obviously, to interpret results and formulate their findings.
My point is one of the companies was a global leader in the industry already twenty years ago and I am well aware of the industry standards, best results achieved globally as the companies I was involved in were the leading companies spending huge money on R&D and development way before MM became vogue.
Unfortunately from my experience once maximum yields are achieved per square metre then only a reduction in growing time can increase yearly production and there is no miracle that will change perfection, however there are great techniques to maximise yield via time, genetic manipulation and one other thing that I am certainly not going to share with anyone here on HC.
Hydroponics is science/math, not miracles, and math doesn’t lie.
When one talks about yield one has to consider the energy required/utilised, crop time/cycle and the square metre area of leaf coverage to determine where one sits on the yield curve and my previous post is, IMO, not only accurate but a reasonable compliment that their going pretty good.
As the company says anyway Lucky Lake facility will increase their production 1100% and this IMO will be easily be achieved given their techniques, set up and knowledge that i can see from their photos.
