It's a simplistic view of cancer and the immune system but for the purposes of TNBC ( triple negative breast cancer ), the sooner you can start an effective treatment, the better, as the rate of metastasis is greatly increased in this subset of breast cancers. TNBC has less targets for therapy and thus less therapy options. It also has a high Ki-67 proliferation index (an index that rates how quickly the cancer will spread).
