These days I look for miners close to production or producing. Unless you get in early, hit the spike and sell towards the top its a long wait till anything appreciable comes back. Drillers are only worth holding around the time of a spike due to an announcement or development that pushes up the price; it's usually a slow fade over time until the next driver comes along.
I'm not familiar with MM8; they've just had a few good hits but so have a lot of drillers. I'd be asking are they going to dig that up and process it anytime soon? What makes them different or more desirable than other drillers.
I watch the mining news, identify companies with prospects then sit back for a while and see what happens. What are their future moves? Are they lifestylers who just spend money and capital raise? Does the SP remain stable with little decay, or just work through a range? Are they dooers or talkers? What's the general feeling on here with regards to them, minus the usual Cheer Squad view.
The one I put my money into the other month would have made me some money but I held out for an extra cent, now it's gone into a lull. However it's run by a bunch of dooers, who say things then back them up with actions; they have a point to prove. Things will pick up there in a month or so, the other reason I invested, not left with my money stuck under purchase price. They've gone from explorer to producer, with toll processing, money in much greater than our.
So apply my thoughts to MM8 and see what you think.
AGC is a future prospect too but watch those long periods where nothing happens or the share price slowly declines.
