They don't have a centrifugal spinner on site as yet, and they obviously won't use cyanide / mercury or any other nasty on site due to ecological reasons IMO.
Therefore more time is required, I am not saying it's a hard process.
Running the gold over the gemini table a few times to separate out sulphides is also very time intensive.
