'NSW may want more. My thought on risk is that the manufacturing capacity hasn't been tested at peak volume and risk is more on the company side in meeting delivery requirements than the likely follow up purchases ( no actual knowledge of this just guessing) .'
My chats with a few yesterday indicated the interest in the swab is becoming like a wave. Rumours of interest from the privates and a test kit provider are about. Now the work has been done to prove its efficacy, its further adoption is a no brainer. The demand appears likely to test manufacture and distribution capacity and the company is new to this volume part of the game. Manufacture under licence is very tricky to navigate but looks like a necessity. My guess is these folk need help in these disciplines. While the demand looks like a given, logistics capability imposes a risk to the investment.
