I would imagine NSW will continue to use the Brainstab swabs as well as Rhinoswab. So I think RNO just has to aim for constant production for the initial 1m Rhinoswab order. Perhaps 150k to 200k units per week.
From the last 4C they said they were scaling up production from the start of August in Melbourne. They also said they were looking at expansion opportunities in Asia & Europe. (See P3 of 4C for further details).
There's a chance they had built up a bit of a stockpile in the first 6 months of the year, as this opportunity was first raised in Sept/Oct last year.
Ultimately RNO will need to find a way to scale up production to meet the demand that they allude too.
MJ had also been commenting on RNO being part of a National/Sovereign manufacturing base of pandemic related products, so Australia wasn't as reliant on overseas product. I believe they have been sounding out State & Federal governments. (See March's 4C P3 - Production).
Also on p3 of March's 4C they touch on Commercialisation and an initial potential pipeline of 60m+ Rhinoswabs. Since then we've learnt of strong interest from the Netherlands and then there was last weeks article in India.
So today is a great first step. Whilst its taken longer than I hoped, the opportunity ahead looks legitimate and worth the wait.
There is a lot of news that could flow in the coming months and hopefully the SP can form a decent base in the interim.
