Out in AFR 23 mins ago – 1.59PMRhinomed charges on COVID-19 dealTom RichardsonMedtech business Rhinomed says it has received purchase orders and begun supplying NSW Health Pathology for an initial 1 million ‘Rhinoswabs’ as part of a program to support COVID-19 state testing capability.“As previously disclosed the Rhinoswab is substantially more comfortable and easier to use than the standard nasal swab, captures a larger sample, can accelerate the sample collection process and significantly reduce queues and waiting times,” the company said. “Rhinoswab works with existing PCR pathology workflows and equipment and has equivalent cost and quality to the US and European standard of care nasopharyngeal swabs.”No financial details over the deal were disclosed. The stock is up 50 per cent this afternoon to 30 cents on a market value around $79 million.
