Let's also not forget that the stake in Myer is through Premier investments. He may be the biggest shareholder in Premier, but he is going to have many aggrieved Premier shareholders if he buys Myer. This is very different with the David Jones stake that he had. That was held privately. This seems to be often forgotten. It is not going to be as easy for him to lob a bid in, even if he feels there is value there.
