thanks @thecapitalist.  I made a small profit.  I held through the symex/pental restructure, traded a bit, options etc.  but it hurt to give back most of the gains I was sitting on.   in fairness the dividends have helped make it worthwhile.

I kept thinking someone might want to take them over and I could see they traded on a low pe compared to similar bigger businesses.  but you are right they are so dependent on the supermarkets and the margin compression, as you say. is such a significant problem.

I hear you re reasons for sp holding up so well.  volume has been tiny over last couple of days.  impossible for decent sized holder to get out at the moment I guess.

I will continue to buy the soap and hope that pental hangs in there.  the chinese expansion is interesting and I hope they can pull that off.  not many of these sorts of businesses left in australia.
