Because in Canada they have tax write off scheme for miners. The 31.5 c came with 11c instant tax reduction.
So in actual fact bought it for 21.5c
Its not much different to Australia's "Agribusiness managed investment schemes" aka MIS people invest in wood plantation, the investors got instant tax write off.
