Just a few days after our shipment arrived in Zhangjiagang, another is arriving from PLS.
The carrying capacity of that ship is 16,000 DWT, so perhaps a spot sale to the same buyer?
Out of interest, Zhangjiagang is where Livent own and operate a lithium hydroxide plant.
Could it be that their plant will be refining spod from NAL?
Livent through their stake in Nemaska are building a hydroxide plant in Becancour but it won’t be ready for two years.
Investissement Quebec is the joint partner in Nemaska.
It may almost be palpable to them to have spod from Quebec refined in China by a company that they are linked to, what do you think?
