The main catalysts for the gold price are still the economic issues globally, increased debt and subsequent Large central bank gold purchasing driving up demand. The geopolitical issues obviously help the gold price and give it momentum but the horrible economic state of the world is the main driver, with gold an obvious hedge against that.
As another poster stated, with Russia continually taking ground in Ukraine and with nuclear weapons being the next form of escalating following the long range missile approval, it seems the proxy war has now moved to the Middle East. That will be the main area for any potential ww3 imo. The deep state know that the Middle East countries are not as formidable and technologically and militarily advanced as Russia so it is clearly an easier area to make gains and try to address their falling empire and fight back.
By the way, there is no chance Trump will stop the ukraine war in 24 hours like he has previously said. It is going to take months and possibly years to reach an agreement Imo. Russia have doubled down on Putin’s June announcement for the conditions of a settlement. This was stated by Luvrov in the interview with Tucker. Also, Zelensky publicly outed Trump yesterday and said he is pointless until he takes office. Clearly Zelensky did not like what he heard from Trump in Paris, when with Macron a few days ago. So either Zelensky will be forced out and replaced with someone who can be moulded to negotiate or the war continues Imo.
