Looking at the lay-head, theres shouldn't be any reason why it can't lay cavity walls (no obstructions within 50mm or at the height of the brick, if there is it would be a simple mod & recalibration).
I have found extracts that make allowance for Single leaf external walls in UK if the brick is of a certain width and has been proven to pass moisture ingress tests. I haven't had a chanch to look deep enough into Australian Standards as they are not free to view.
FBR seem to be pretty confident with Single Leaf External Walls, i would be surprised if they have not researched the use of single leaf external wall requirements in Australia & Globally
