My ramblings:

I personally believe the reason's for taking so long to start these trials are not as simple as difficulty with recruiting.

My thinking is once 1b trials begin, you better be prepared not only in the science department but also in the finance department to be able to continue on to stage II without any delay or hiccup. Any delay would break the positive effects of continued progress (a snowball effect if you like) for the shareprice, but also for the reputation of the company and management.

The quiet period for the large majority of the year, may have been down to LESLIE pushing hard for partnering deals (financing) which will guarantee progress without any extended delays in-between trials. I see dosing of our first patient as indication that LESLIE believe's she has something firm in this department.
