In my opinion it is of no importance which center or even which country recruited the first patient. As mentioned in one of my previous posts, last time not a single patient was recruited in Australia, instead all patients were UK based (strangely enough, this time we don't appear to be recruiting in the UK at all - Brexit?). The main thing is, the trial is up and running and patients are being recruited and with more centers open for recruitment, the chances to meet the timeline increases.
Whilst being a rare indication, the eligible patient pool is still larger than what it was in our P1 trial (SR-aGvHD vs. HR-aGvHD). The fact that we are recruiting adults also widens the eligible patient pool (orphan drug designation eligible nonetheless).
