The corresponding WPL announcement says "Commencing FEED activities follows approval by the Senegalese Minister of Petroleum and Energies of Woodside assuming the role of operator". The FAR announcement completely ignores this and has not made any other announcement pertaining to the operatorship.
Surely, we should receive some kind of statement from FAR? If the operator approval is conditional in some way (other than on outcome of PE action) then that needs to be stated.
The longer the PE drags out, the stronger WPL's hand becomes and even if FAR wins the PE, it will probably just result in some payment from WPL to FAR. Just my thoughts anyway.
