The recent buyer interest may also be related to the heat building up in the US on comms-related issues for Chinese drones. Earlier this month, the US Dept. of Interior grounded its fleet of more than 800 DJI drones citing security concerns (see https://dronelife.com/2019/11/01/u-s-department-of-interior-grounds-dji-drones).

Savvy investors may be pre-positioning themselves. Airobotics and other tier-1 UAV manufacturers based in the US stand to benefit enormously from any escalation in the US-China Trade War, especially one that results in DJI, the world's largest drone manufacturer, being shut out of the US market. It may also be an option for DJI drones to retro-fit Halo units to address the issue or for Halo to be endorsed as the mandated comms unit for DJI drones sold in the US.
