Legitimate concern, mutant.
From the IFN Website, Flyers Creek page:
Planning Modification 4 was lodged with the NSW Department of Planning and Environment in August 2018 to:
Increase the wind turbine envelope so as to accommodate the newer, more efficient turbine models now available; and
Include a 132kV transmission line and switching station so as to enable the Project to connect to the electrical grid.
The planning modification was approved by the Independent Planning Commission in August 2019.
_____________
August 2019 is a fresh determination, so Flyers Creek looks OK planning-wise.
It is proposed to generate 145Mw from 38 turbines, so these are not the big new kit (10Mw/turbine) now available.
IFN will likely Capital-Lite the project, on-selling to a third party. Plentiful capital available out there for permitted WF's.
