I agree in sentiment. Both Super markets are being beaten up and the Gov meddling in anything never makes sense.
Of course I shop at both Coles & Woolies when in Aussie and of course both of us are on the end of the rising prices.
You & I are not in the 33% part of the GenZ population hurting but we both still look at rising prices and wonder where & when will it ever stop.
The answer is "it will never stop going up"
Beit you look at charts, operating income, div % returns, macro and International money markets alike, there is a huge disconnect going on.
Now is the time to be safe and buy quality especially quality that you can sleep at night knowing it will not fall 50% or go broke and have something that seems to pay a little lower than a Bond, even Bonds are being leveraged up & down...nightmare stuff unless you want to buy a coupon for 30 years.
No doubt you & I will buy back into commodities but we both need to know where & when the floor is.
We might have a (+) or (-) of 5% but its possibly not that far away as costs for digging dirt and how much commodity you get as a % of over burden is becoming less & less as the years roll on.
So food it is........
Keep averaging down and we put more money into the bank.
Oh and I bought into APA at $6.40.....completely ridiculous on an 8% yield....how ever it's risk/reward is questionable at best.
Keep making money son & maintain your health....thats your real wealth right there.
