Whilst it is a moot point, the above statement is not true.
For example, someone who purchased 300,000 at 3 c ($9K) could then have purchased an additional 600,000 at 0.5c not that long ago (for $3K). Their average would be slightly over 1.3 currently. You can choose any amount as the initial investment you just have to maintain the ratio.
Not trying to be a smart ass, just no need to treat simple mathematics like witch craft.
To average down on a 3c purchase you need to invest a third of your initial investment at 0.5c. At current prices an investment of $9,720 would average to 1.35c.
