Could someone help me join the dots ? Carbonitites are associated with magmatic intrusions like a dyke or sill, igneous in origin . Similar to kimberlite . Magma coming to the surface , cooling at the earth crust and crystallising into what we are after rare earth elements , along with other associated minerals .
In a geomorphological sense , how are the iron stones formed , related to the carbonitities in composition/ formation ? If the carbonitites are the source of the Ironstones , is it natural to assume that they contain higher percentages of rare earth elements ?
