I thought the same thing, then thought oh well, maybe they aren't that deep. But if they are 80' then that's not a hole I'd want to fall into.
Reminds me of Lightning Ridge, there are abandoned holes everywhere from old opal mines. Definitely don't walk around the bush there in the dark.
