In the long run, you will never get a sustainable shareholder return without the company business increasing shareholder value via profit and asset build.

Increasing shareholder value is what the company is actively doing, and very successfully . How the market recognizes and rewards that increase in value does in part depend on BRK marketing, and then the rest is up to the market itself.

You are correct that share dilution affects shareholder return which is why building a sustainable business with profits and free cash flow is essential. that is what BRK are doing now.
