    @ywtoh

    I'm pulling info from a few of the higher ministers plus staff at X-Water. Big project for everyone involved. These are the largest biological plants in the country and reach higher effluent discharge standards than most sewage plants worldwide.

    PS3 itself at around $10m USD = (In old EMC talk) to equivalent money to selling 1000 of the old MABR spirals in one hit (or 143 x L4 containers).
    Margin on these greenfield SUBRE projects is high as well, better than selling Aspiral containers. Will not all go into 2021 SPS, the majority will likely fall into 2022 targets, as PS1 and PS2 were announced in March 2020 so have taken 18 months to complete since announcement. The signing and announcement has not been made yet, so we may still be at least 18 months away from PS3 being completed if it does get the go ahead and starts. Actual construction of PS1 and PS2 only took around 9-10 months. Not sure if this one will be faster as they locals gain more experience with the type of construction and assembly, but it also appears that they have made initial site preparations so they may be ready to start as soon as all the contracts have been awarded.

    (If PS3 is signed) This sort of project win will have decent ramifications. It means that simply counting projects may not mean as much anymore. There is a fair bit of difference between a $14,000 5 m3/d Aspiral Micro/$70,000 200 m3/d Aspiral L4 and a $10m 20,000 m3/d greenfield concrete SUBRE. It also seems obvious to me that more trust is being put in MABR technology based plants, and the average size is increasing. In Q2 there have been (2?) unannounced smaller greenfield SUBRE wins in the Philippines, plus the greenfield SUBRE win in Israel. But these concrete SUBRE plants are usually in the 600 to 1000 m3/d range. If they start becoming the normal type of order then SPS will keep growing. The more of these get distributed worldwide all with monitored effluent data, then trust will continue to build.

    Ywtoh you said that design firms in Singapore are getting to the stage where it is impossible to ignore Fluence. When you have the absolute highest government officials in all of China, the Philippines and Cambodia extolling the virtues of MABR and writing it into their tenders, and meeting some of the most stringent discharge standards in the whole world, there is a fair bit of credit being build behind the brand in the industry. Add in the same for algae affected waters in the Ivory Coast, plus desalination in Argentina, Brazil and Egypt which is also getting government backing, then it adds up to a company which is starting to establish itself as a global player.
    Your average mum and dad investor may not appreciate it sitting at home in Australia, especially when they have not yet become a proper profitable company and dividend payments and nowhere on the horizon. I am sure some of the larger industry players are looking at them wondering if they are worth adding to their portfolio mixes. Fluence can only keep doing what they are doing and hopefully the momentum will come. Seems like MABR plants could easily start spreading into the rest of Asia, Africa or South America. Unfortunately things in the industry a long lead and take time to build and analyze, but there appear to be enough signs that Fluence have been kicking a few goals, even with COVID affecting most of their territories pretty heavily.

    2 plants completed at 5200 and 7200 m3/d plus a 20,000 m3/d plant possibly on the way makes for quite an exciting overall project. Cambodia's 32,400 m3/d is actually larger than what both iTEST and Kaitian have done at this stage. It just shows why Fluence are investing more effort into this type of "low hanging fruit" area, rather than wasting too much time hitting their heads against a brick wall in Australia, the potential for growth is at multiples as the installed base is so low to begin with. As biological treatment is a new introduction to these regions, the government ministers and large local companies pay more attention and you can get repeat orders more quickly.
